Another frantic run up to the Emsworth Arts Trail 25

As per normal it is fast appoaching the 26th April the first day of this year Emsworth Arts Trail and I am fast running out of time to get the 4 new paintings finished in time. One painting in particular is challenging as I am not that proficient at painting skin tones (something I need to work on this year) - see below first pass of this guy falling to his doom. Currently he is a little to pinky for his flesh tone and need more definition added. I could get my wife to take a photo of me as a good reference :-) lets see how I fix this in the next 2 weeks.

Slighly sunburn dude falling to his doom…..

2nd pass - need to stop before it becomes a mess, but needs more dark tones and maybe a little lighter - will let it dry for a few days

3rd pass - didn’t let it dry but getting there….

The Blue Bell Inn is supporting me again for the Arts Trail. Giles the landlord has these new digital displays installed last year so I am now up in lights. Not quite Times Square or Piccadilly Circus billboard lights but I’ll take it..

Up in lights

Oh and this just arrived too…

Its official now the signage is going up, and also check out the video for more glimpses of my studio and hand.
